Podiatrists are medical professionals with a degree in Podiatry who are trained to diagnose and treat problems with the feet and legs. They can help with issues such as foot pain, injuries, and skin conditions, and can also advise on the best shoes and exercises to maintain good foot health.
In simple terms, none. The terms Chiropodist and Podiatrist describe a medical professional qualified to deal with the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the foot and the lower limb. There is no difference in what they do and the names are interchangeable. Back in 1993 the term Chiropodist was changed to Podiatrist in order to fall in line with what they are referred to in other countries. There are Podiatrists that have a mobile practice like Me2uPodiatry and are happy with the routine foot care they provide, however they are trained in biomechanics, orthotic prescriptions, nail surgery etc but their field of practice ie the home environment isn't conducive to carrying these specialities out.
Both titles of Chiropodist and Podiatrist are protected by law. Anyone using or advertising with one of these titles must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and their website allows you to check registered practitioners credentials.

Absolutely anybody: appointments can be for children and adults, young and old.
Some people would rather not book an appointment in a clinic setting for a variety of reasons: hassle of finding a parking spot; taking time off work; arranging transport to an appointment if they don't drive; If they are housebound due to illness or mobility issues; anxiety attending clinic settings, the list goes on.
In a nut shell, home visits are convenient, time saving and less daunting as the treatment occurs in an environment you are comfortable in at a time that suits you.
The only thing that would be lovely to have on hand is a list of any medication you may be on. Other than that I have a foot rest and a stool to sit upon.
The first appointment is £58, subsequent appointments are £45.
There is a discount of 20% each if more than one person books and attends their appointment at the same location and time. If a multiple appointment is booked but only one person attends, the fee reverts back to £58.
*Nail reconstruction only no other treatment:
1 big toe nail £45
2 big toe nails £65

*If a new client, only requires nail reconstruction, a photo of the nails will be required prior to the appointment in order to assess suitability. 1 big toe nail will be included in Initial Appointment price of £58, second big toe nail will be an additional £20.
